1. Indonesia
This is one of the fiercest countries, having more than 13% of the world’s volcanoes. To be more precise, there are 147 volcanoes in Indonesia, out of which 129 are badly active. Little did you know, it is located within the Pacific Ring Of Fire.
2. Chile
This country is reported to have 2,000 volcanoes, out of which 60 have already erupted. At present, Chile has nearly 122 active volcanoes. In April 2015, an eruption of the Calbuco Volcano occurred near Puerto Montt. It poured out a large volume of volcanic ashes that spread to Argentina as well.
3. Japan
When it comes to Japan, everyone must be aware of Mount Fuji (originally known as Mount Fujiyama)- the tallest mountain in this East Asian country. It is an active volcano too. Japan contributes to 1/10 of the world’s active volcanoes. To be more specific, currently, it has 108 active volcanoes.
4. Philippines
At present, Philipinnes has 53 active volcanoes which are very deadly. In this country, there are a couple of historic volcanic eruptions that include- Mayon and Taal respectively. It had caused huge damage to the country. In January 2020, the Taal volcano erupted and spread to an area of 40 miles and also entered Manila, its capital. It also resulted in the earthquake.

5. Guatemala
Like Indonesia, Guatemala is also located within the Pacific Ring of Fire. It has more than 37 volcanoes including- Fuego, Pacaya, etc. The former one erupted in June 2018, affecting over 1.7 million people and killing hundreds.
