1. Kangchenjunga

Also called The Five Treasures of Snow, the mountain lies between India and Nepal. It is surrounded by the Tamur River, Lhonak Chu, Teesta River and Jongsang Lu respectively. However, it is considered the third highest summit on earth.

2. Nanda Devi
Here comes India’s second-highest peak- Nanda Devi. It is located in the Uttarakhand district which stands at a height of 7,816 metres above sea level. When it comes to the world, it ranks 23rd in terms of height. Little did you know, the Nanda Devi National Park is considered one of the best high altitude parks in India. It has been first ascended by Noel Odell and Bill Tilman respectively.

3. Kamet
Last, but not least, Kamet ranks third when it comes to India’s highest peak. Like Nanda Devi, it is also located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, standing at a height of 7,756 metres. However, people don’t easily get to visit this because of its geographical location, being remote- close to the Tibetan Plateau. But, Frank Smythe and Eric Shipton had ascended this mountain for the very first time in 1931.
