Will Planting Trees Reduce Global Warming? What do you have to say about this? With the term itself, you must have understood what global warming is all about. Briefly, it’s the rise in global atmospheric temperature because of carbon emission and other air pollutants. This climate change has become a major crisis and a topic of discussion in recent years.
Humans are responsible for causing global warming. Burning of fossil fuel, cutting down bunches of trees and other similar acts are liable for the cause. These acts give out harmful greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, water vapour, nitrous oxide, etc which in turn cause temperature to rise. Here, lies the question,- if growing forests can help in the reduction of this harmful effect? Let’s find out!

Will Planting Trees Reduce Global Warming?
Yes! Planting more trees will reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide. This will eventually limit the effects of global warming. As we grow plants, carbon dioxide from the air gets removed because of the photosynthesis making it clean and clear.
As per the records, back in 2015, China planted 195 million acres for the sake of stopping farmland from turning into desert. Even the United States and Russia took the same initiative of planting trees covering 65 million acres and 49 million acres respectively. Several other countries have taken this notable initiative and are growing larger. Plantation of trees is very beneficial and the list includes- making more space for wildlife, improving clean and clear water supply, controlling soil erosion and many more.
In brief, we may say that to protect our planet earth from global warming, planting trees would serve as one of the most effective ways. Go Green! A single tree would absorb a ton of carbon dioxide in its lifetime. Just imagine, what would hundreds and thousands of trees do? However, on the same side, we should also stop those activities mentioned above, which highly contribute to global warming! In this way, we can pretty much save our mother nature!
