The remarkable shift in the climate and increased sea level would result in a natural calamity, i.e., a flood. Although the rise in the water level of the Yangtze river causes floods once a year, in 1935, China had an encounter with one of the most devasting floods in its history. The flood of the Yangtze River caused the death of approximately 145,000 people. Not only flood, but later on, massive famine and deadly diseases such as tuberculosis, malaria, and dermatitis also stretched its arm across the valley. But the glace of the 1935 flood might frighten the valley after so many years. And it will remain on the list of deadliest floods across the world.

While talking about Banqiao Dam, built on the Ru River, represented a massive failure on 8th August 1975. Typhoon Nina, also listed as one of the most destructive cyclones, was the reason behind this vast destruction. The flood caused the death of 86,000 people. The destruction continued until the following year, with the death toll reaching 145,000 due to starvation and lethal diseases.

You might be surprised that all the deadliest floods would be deep-rooted in China. Another devasting year for China would be the reason behind the death of 800,000 people. The flood occurred in 1938 in the Yellow River, one of the deadliest man-made floods by the Chinese Nationalist Government during the Second Sino-Japan war. You might be interested that the Chinese Government pushed the flood to stop the invasion of Japanese soldiers in China. But the wholesome incident becomes horrible in the history of China. Whereas its fellow citizens would become the victim of the deadliest flood apart from this, the Chinese Government unanimously declined its involvement in the flood.

The recorded articulated that the flood caused the death of approximately 2 million people. Apart from this, one of the unfortunate events of natural calamities includes the destruction of the house and fertile lands along with small villages.
