We know the meaning of natural calamities. The word natural calamities are the most significant source of destruction to the atmosphere. You might agree with the statement that each is coiled with bad and exemplary instances of life. No one day is the same as the previous one—the same lies when it comes to nature. Nature is one of the sacred places, and it is the gift of God as well. We all love the source of natural wonder, whether it is beauteous forest, land spaces, the cliff of mountains, and the endless species of flora and fauna.

On the other hand, we bet no one will like land destruction due to nature. These destructions are called natural disasters. Now, we are covering one of those natural calamities, namely earthquakes. Here, we list the top 5 countries that have recorded the most earthquakes.

5. Japan

Japan is an island country that lies in East Asia. The country is located on the coast of the northwest Pacific Ocean and shares the border with the East China Sea, Philippine Sea, and Taiwan Sea. We probably know this country for its modern technology and development. If you are well updated with the news, then you might have heard about the information that Japan is heading to create an artificial space colony with bullet trains, and it will connect earth, the moon, and mars.

But on the flip side, this is the fifth country in the world with the highest number of earthquakes. The most significant reason for earthquakes in Japan would be the four unmatched tectonic plates in this country: the North American plate, the Pacific plate, the Philippine plate, and the Eurasian plate. And the movements on these plates caused the country’s vulnerable and deadliest natural calamities.

Japan

4. Turkey

Like Japan, Tukey is another country in the queue with the highest number of earthquakes. The country remains the most active seismic site, such as the Eurasian and Arabian plates. The high pressure of these plates creates massive triggers in this region and became the prominent reason for this region and caused the devastating earthquake.

Turkey

3. Iran

Iran is a Middle East country with the area of the most active seismic plates, and it is the third country with the highest number of deadliest earthquakes. Most interestingly, the Zagroa mountains formed due to the massive movement of the Eurasian plate.

Iran

2. Indonesia

Indonesia is one of the countries in maritime Southeast Asia and is officially known as the Republic of Indonesia. From 1900 to 2016, this country witnessed 113 earthquakes and was listed as the second country with the highest number of earthquakes worldwide. The primary reason for these significant earthquakes would be this country is closer to the Ring of Fire.

Indonesia

1. China

Now, we are heading to the country with the highest earthquakes. It is estimated that till now, there have been 157 earthquakes, primarily witnessed in the region of Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai, and Xinjiang. Climate change and the disturbance in the natural habitat would become the persistent cause of these deadliest events.

From now onwards, you can easily distinguish the prone-to-earthquake regions worldwide.
