In Dharchula, Uttarakhand, a cloudburst near Chal village led to the collapse of a bridge, isolating more than 200 individuals.

Videos from the area show frantic efforts to escape following the cloudburst near Darma Ghatkhola drain in Pithoragarh.

The IMD forecasts persistent heavy rainfall in Gujarat until July 9 and along the Himalayan foothills and adjacent plains until July 12.
