Next week, much of the UK is expected to experience warm weather, although the west will face foggy conditions on Monday morning.
The Met Office has issued a yellow fog warning for the west and North West of England, as well as Wales, from 5 am to 10 am.
This fog is anticipated to be the first significant autumnal fog of the season, potentially causing disruptions during the morning commute. However, the fog is expected to clear by late morning, giving way to sunny spells throughout the day.
In southern regions, misty and murky conditions will persist through Sunday night.
Yet, Monday is predicted to begin with clear, sunny weather across much of England, Wales, and Scotland.
Temperatures are forecast to rise steadily throughout the week, potentially reaching 23°C to 24°C by Wednesday in sunny areas of central, southern, and eastern England.
Dean Hall, senior meteorologist at the Met Office, noted, “There might be some localized impacts from dense fog during the morning commute, but this will quickly dissipate as the sun rises and the breeze picks up. High pressure will continue to dominate our weather through next week.”
The most favorable weather is expected in the western parts of the UK, thanks to an easterly breeze. Meanwhile, sunny, inland areas of the south and southeast will experience warmer temperatures, ranging in the low 20s°C, which is above the seasonal average of 18°C to 19°C.
Hall added, “High pressure is likely to remain dominant, potentially extending into the following week. This warm and sunny weather will be a welcome change after a cooler and wetter summer, providing a pleasant respite from recent unsettled conditions.”
