The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light rainfall in various parts of the country on Tuesday. According to the IMD, isolated to scattered light rainfall activity with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and northeast India during 13th-14th March 2023.
In addition to rainfall, a heatwave has been predicted for Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts in Maharashtra, as per an IMD update on Monday. Gujarat’s Porbandar is also expected to experience a heatwave on Tuesday.
Regions where rainfall is predicted today include Maharashtra’s Palghar, Thane, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nashik, Pune, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Osmanabad, and Nanded.
In Gujarat, rainfall is expected in Bharuch, Surat, Valsad, Tapi, Navsari, and Dangs. Himachal Pradesh regions expecting rainfall include Chamba, Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Solan, Shimla, Kullu, and Sirmaur. Uttarakhand will see rainfall in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Almora, Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Tehri Garhwal, and Bageshwar.
In Rajasthan, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Alwar are predicted to have rainfall. Madhya Pradesh regions such as Sheopurkalant, Morena, Bhind, Bhopal, Barwani, and Khargone will also experience rainfall.
The weather predictions indicate varying conditions across different regions, with some areas expecting light rainfall and others bracing for heatwave conditions. Residents in these areas should stay updated on weather advisories and take necessary precautions to stay safe.
