After the devastating impact of Super Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam and China last week, with the death toll reaching around 200, another tropical system formed in the Gulf of Mexico.
Hurricane Francine, a Category 2 storm with winds of 100 mph, made landfall in Louisiana on Thursday. It is the fourth named hurricane of the 2024 season.
