Two Melbourne women, Lucy Bradlow and Bronwen Bock, have shifted their political ambitions from the now-abolished seat of Higgins to running for a Senate position.
Originally, the duo, a political communications expert and an investment banker, planned to campaign as independent job-sharing candidates for Higgins. Their proposal involved splitting responsibilities and travel between them if they were elected.
With Higgins no longer a parliamentary seat due to recent electoral redistributions, Bradlow and Bock have announced a new direction.
On Friday, they revealed their intention to run for the Senate as a unified candidate under the banner of the Better Together Party.
They emphasized their commitment to providing real representation and effective governance, advocating for a collaborative approach to policy-making and change.
Their campaign aims to offer Victorians a fresh voice in federal politics. They invite all Australians, regardless of location, to support their initiative.
